Every tide line is a record of what people decide to protect.

The Weight of Water follows three families living across a coastline under political and environmental pressure. We approached the film as a character study first and a policy narrative second, anchoring each chapter in domestic ritual before widening to larger civic stakes.

Interviews were staged as scenes with deliberate spatial design instead of conventional sit-down coverage. This allowed each participant to remain within their lived environment while preserving visual consistency across locations. Production sound and score were developed in tandem so the emotional register could evolve without sentimentality.

In post, we resisted explanatory over-structure. The final cut privileges witness over argument, allowing complexity to remain visible rather than compressed. The result is a documentary that audiences described as both intimate and unsparing, with strong festival response across documentary and impact categories.

Truth is not louder than fiction - it is more precise.
